Boonie Bug With Smart Fortwo Parts?

I wonder if one could make the Boonie Bug from R Q Riley using the platform and parts from a Smart Fortwo? The Beetle and the Fortwo are rear engine rear wheel drive vehicles. The Beetle had an air cooled engine but the engine in the Fortwo is water cooled with the radiator in front.

It would be interesting and cool if Smart created a van similar to the one shown below using parts from the Fortwo model. Since they don't seem to be very smart in running Smart (IMO - otherwise they would still sell the gas powered Fortwo in Canada and the USA since the Smart ED does not have a lot of appeal or range [this is just me letting off some 'steam' and frustration]).
Here is the Smart Fortwo (model 451). While one cannot see it, the radiator is in front with the engine / transmission is in back.

This is the air cooled engine Volkswagen Beetle. Since the engine does not require a radiator, there is more space in front for cargo.

The Boonie Bug plans can be bought at R Q Riley. It is made to fit onto the platform and parts from an air cooled Volkswagen Beetle. There is more information of it at the site of the plans plus photos.
To use the Smart Fortwo engine, one would need to create a front where one could place the radiator. Unlike the original Beetle engine, the Fortwo engine is water cooled. Since it is made from plans, it might not be too difficult to adapt it for a radiator (not really speaking from experience but just my opinion).

I think it would be only slightly longer, wider and taller than a Fortwo. This comparison from what I have seen of of the Smart Fortwo and the Boonie Bug (not seen together and without comparing the size of either vehicle).

Since the (it seems to me) Smart Fortwo engine is more compact than the Volkswagen Beetle, it might not need a bulge in the back like this (from what I can see but it might need it when actually done).

It was used in the movie Total Recall with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

This is a site with a diverse set of plans for a variety of items.

I believe this is the international site for the company.

Zacua; Modern Micro Car from Mexico

I think the M2 and M3 from Zacua are modern micro cars from Mexico. They are two electric
cars made in Mexico.

The M2 remind me of a lengthened Smart Fortwo. It is an electric vehicle. It looks smaller than a Mini Cooper. I don't know about the Zacua site since it is in Spanish and I don't speak or read Spanish.

I believe it is made for the Mexican market. I have read some articles on these little cars.

Here is the interior of the M2.

It would be cool if Smart came out with a lengthened Fortwo. Some think the Smart's short length makes it unsafe. Even though the Smart Fortwo is safe and has proven to be safe, a longer one would help give them more of a safer look. With the direction Smart is seem to be going, I doubt they would make a longer Smart (the 452 is slightly longer and slightly wider).

The M3 is more like a Mini Cooper. It seems like it is about the size of the original Mini Cooper.

Here is the interior of the M3.

It seems about the original Mini Cooper which is smaller than the newer one. It has the look of the newer Mini Cooper.

It seems it was designed by Chatenet of France.
I can see the design similarities between the Chatenet CH26 and the Zacua M3.
Car Scoops. I will blog about the Chatenet CH26 in a separate blog.

I think they have a cool logo.

Obvio 828 Electric Car - Modern Electric Micro Car?

It seems that Obvio went from going to make a gas powered 828 and 012 to just making an electric version of the 828. It looks really nice. It is really small. I think it would definitely qualify as a modern micro car.
Here is the Obvio logo. It seems rather silly. I wonder how many think that would be something that would be great on a little car.
Here is the 828 of Obvio. While I think this is nice, I think the 012 is a way better way cooler design. I have only seen the 012 in drawings and not an actual vehicle.

This shows how small the Obvio 828 is when compared to the Fiat 500.

New Tesla Roadster as a Modern Micro Car? Maybe?

I saw an article on the new 2017 Tesla roadster. The article was at Clean Technica. The article is dated 2014 but one can still hope. I think the design is really nice. It seems it could be based on a Lotus design? I think it is really cool and green.
Here is the design at the Clean Technica site.
